This advanced technology Peltier Device Freezing Stage lets you convert any microtome into a freezing microtome.

Set the desired temperure, and flick the switch for rapid freezing. Temperature feedback from the stage controls cooling, and holds a constant temperature for as long as needed. The stages require a slow flow of water to serve as a heat sink. Cold faucet water will do. Temperatures as low as -40˚ C can be reached

It features a compact lightweight controller whose small footprint saves lab counter space. The 54 mm square Peliter stage is on a pedestal 38 mm square that can be held in the vice structure of most common makes of microtomes. We can supply adaptors or modified units to fit others.
