The Sterile Injector Needle is intended for use with the Injector Needle Handle to provide subcutaneous implantation of an 11.5mm x 2.1mm glass encapsulated ISO FDX-B electronic identification tag .

The Sterile Needle Injector features a Luer-Lock base (ISO-594-2 compliant) that provides a secure and expedient means of mounting the Assembly to the Injector Needle Handle, and that permits disposal of the spent needle subsequent to transponder injection.

The needle contains a single ISO FDX-B glass encapsulated transponder which is ejected from the needle by means of the Injector’s push-rod. Each Sterile Injector Needle is packaged in a sealed sterile blister-pak where it remains until it is used.
